OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

At A Second Glance Shop we believe shopping for pre-owned items plays a powerful role in reducing waste at the national & global levels. By giving clothing and other items a second life, we keep these pieces out of our landfills and incinerators. As importantly, the minimization of textiles shipped overseas to developing countries, where they typically end up in their open-air landfills or beaches, can be attained.

 

It is our opinion that quality and beauty aren’t exclusive to “new.” Our approach is about shopping with intention — choosing pieces that are already out in the world that can be used again.  Whether it’s a keepsake passed down through generations, unique treasures waiting for their next story or clothing that appeals to individuals, we see value in what already exists — and joy in passing it on. It is our way of making style more sustainable, one find at a time!
